melodies. This highly imaginative traditional period is confluence
of three Art forms Music, Poetry & Painting. Ragamala paintings
are visual interpretation of Indian Classical Music. Musicians inspired
by folk music converted the traditional into classical set up, ascertaining
mood & mode of certain set of notes. To make the system easy
to learn by disciples as well as master of music, Ragamala system
was classified making common raga with five or six Raginis (weaves)
to each, continued to enhance the size by adding several Ragaputa

tried to visualize this art traditional in their own way in different
techniques. Some tried in abstract and other in their own style.
Indian painting visualize abstract into concrete by symbolic representation
etc. to makes commoners, understand the hidden elements of the concept.
But to illustrate abstract content in abstract way leads to no where.

traditional idioms, tried Ragamala subject and completed a set of
36 paintings. No modern could dare the complete set as yet. Disciple
of Padmashri Kripal Singh Shekhawat, he uses earth, Mineral &

lines, twinkling gold leaf patches in Afshan on outer border of
the painting and powerful line of figures and other forms continuity
and devotion to the subject. According to set of formulas of Ragamala,
